Gillie Ben-Chorin

Graduate Student

Gillie received her undergraduate degree in biology from UC Santa Barbara’s College of Creative Studies, where she studied the function of retinal astrocytes. She then did her post-bac research on mammalian retinal genetics at Stanford University before coming to Columbia University for her Ph.D. In the Kohwi Lab, Gillie studies how proteins in the Drosophila nerve cord function in nuclear architecture organization.
